Shunti Tambli

Ingredients:

Ginger ( Shunti)- A small pinch
Coconut Granted (1/4 cup)
Sesame seeds
Asefetodia (Hing)
Oil for vagrane

Method:

Fry the Ginger, mix grated coconut and grind. Add a bit of water, salt.
Heat oil in a pan, add hing, sesame seeds, Red chilli and fry for some time. Add it to the Ginger mixed water.

Tambli is ready to serve. Serve with Rice.

Note: This is very good for people having cold.

Patrode Recipe

Ingredients:
Colocassia leaves ( Kasvina sappu) >>> 5 bunches
Rice ( Soaked in water) - 1 cup
Kadle bele ( 1/4 cup)
Uddina bele (1/4 cup)
Red chilli ( 6 pcs)
Tamrind ( according to taste)
Note: More tamrind and red chillis and salt must be added as the leaves need more chillis and tamrind.
Salt >> According to taste


Method:
Soak rice in water for two hours. Add fried kadle bele, uddini bele, Red chillis, Salt, Tamrind and Grind.
Spread the Grinded mixture on the leaves to a thin consistency and fold the leaves.
Steam the folded leaves for about 15 mins on cooker. Cut into small slices and deep fry on oil.
The hot patrodes are ready to serve.

Shavige Bhaath recipe

Ingredients:

Shavige: 4 cups

Water: 6 cups

Sesame seeds as per requirement

Green chillis--4

Groundnut as per taste

Black gram (uddina bele) little

Oninons ( 1 medium size)

Tamarind

Lemon ( half slice)



Method


Fry the Shavige in Ghee for around 5 mins and keep aside. In a frying pan first add a little oil
Then add Groundnuts, Udinna bela and fry. Later add oninons and fry till Golden brown, then add Turmeric, salt , lime juice as per your taste.


Than add boiling water and leave for 2 min. Add the fried shavige and cook for around 10 mins.



The Shavige bath is ready to serve now.
